One Fixture or Several?

This is the question that separates the two problems, and you can answer it yourself in a few minutes. Run water in one sink and watch only that sink. Then check the others. If a single basin, tub or shower is slow while everything else in the house drains normally, the blockage is in that fixture trap or the short branch behind it. Watch What the Lowest Drain Does

Waste water takes the easiest exit it can find. When a main line is blocked, the lowest opening in the system is where it reappears: a downstairs shower base, a tub, a floor drain in a utility area or a garage. If you flush a toilet and water rises in a nearby shower, or if the washing machine draining makes a toilet bubble, that is the main line talking. The Gurgle Test

Gurgling is about air, not water. A properly working drain system lets air in through the vent stack so water can flow away smoothly.
